# Vanguard Metal Coating

> Industrial metal coating applicator in Anderson, South Carolina, founded in 1967. Manufacturers ship machined or fabricated metal parts to Vanguard, which sandblasts, coats, cures, inspects and ships them back. More than 100 coating systems: Teflon™ (PTFE, FEP, PFA, Teflon-S), Xylan®, Nylon, Ceramic, Fusion Bonded Epoxy (NSF/ANSI 61) and Powder Coating on pieces up to 45 ft long.

Vanguard started in 1967 coating textile rollers with liquid Teflon™ and describes itself as the premier Teflon™ coating facility on the East Coast and an approved industrial applicator. It serves manufacturers of every size, including many Fortune 500 companies. Most customers are in the southeast (South Carolina, North Carolina and Georgia along the I-85 corridor), and Vanguard can book freight for parts shipped from all over the United States.

## Plant capabilities
- Curing ovens: 10'H x 12'W x 24'L, 8'H x 10'W x 20'L, 8'H x 10'W x 18'L and 8'H x 8'W x 8'L batch ovens, plus a monorail oven for small parts
- Surface prep: sandblasting is the default for every job; 10'W x 15'L blast room, blast cabinet, 7.5 cu ft tumble blaster
- Testing: micrometer film thickness, crosshatch adhesion, MEK cure, bend and impact testing; sample spray booth for trials
- Every job is human-inspected; rush service available; freight can be booked by Vanguard
